Listed Building Sympathetic Soft Strip | Asbestos Removal

Background

Lancebox were contracted to undertake the demolition and renovation works at The Royal Pavilion (A Grade I listed former royal residence) We were required to transform the existing auditorium and associated buildings.

Scope Of Works

Corn Exchange

Stripped back existing original features and fixtures & fittings exposing original trusses and brickwork to the corn exchange. Stripped out the existing raised wooden flooring, sleeper and large existing underfloor plant areas/rooms to create underfloor storage areas. Created openings to to links to adjacent buildings/structures including retention of period materials for re-use.

Studio Theatre - Basement to 2nd Floor Alterations

Removal of bleacher seating. Demolition of raised floors. Propping and removal of multiple walls. Creation of wall and floor openings to interlink buildings and creating new stairwell & lift openings. Demolition & disposal of existing roof. Staircase removal on all floors.

Slope Area Works

Demolition of museum air control/filtration system. Demolition of party wall re existing external walls. Demolition of meeting room and chimney.

Asbestos Removal

Asbestos removal was carried out throughout the site, undertaken in controlled conditions to allow for other trades and existing site considerations/restraints.
